Flip baby!

Officially today I'm done with school! Ten years! OMG. Of all my schools, I like Borel the best (with the big exception that Paige isn't next door) But Borel has been a great place to work and allow me to grow. This year I helped put on the first ever 8th grade Career Fair and next year I will teach but maybe also take on a leadership role around inventions for struggling students. Right now, its summer break and preparing for baby is top priority. As you see in the pictures we have move to a house and I am huge! We love it! Its in a nice neighborhood still in San Mateo. Greg has the garden growing beautifully. The baby room is coming along. And the baby...well the baby is very healthy and breeched. So I'm doing my best to flip baby. Here's the list of things I have done or am doing. It's pretty hysterical when you add them all up. People like me do these things to avoid a C-section. If they don't work it looks like Baby Notte will arrive next Wednesday or Thursday. I can't believe it.

10. talk to baby, tell baby to flip while watching the Flyers, keep saying "Flip for Flyers!"
9. lay up side down on an iron board with Greg leading a flashlight around belly and telling baby to move!
8. clipping clothes pin to my pinky toes as they are the pulling down point in acupunture
7. going to Equinox and while everyone else is Michael Phelpsing it in the pool rocking my sister's tankini and doing handstands.
6. going into the hospital for a version, where they externally try to move baby (ouch!)
5. going in for acupuncture
4. going home after acupuncture, getting on the ironing board in the inverted tilt position and having Greg burn mugwort herb near the pinky toes
3. seeing a chiropractor who told me my pelvis is all out of whack and is doing two more treatments this week
2 Reiki
1. rubbing belly in a circle and trying to tickle little baby feet to encourage the flip.

Ahhh you can't say I didn't give it the college try, but it's hard at 38 weeks. Baby is comfortable and mom is a little tired, but we'll give it a go this week and see what happens next week. This Saturday my social studies chair is throwing a baby shower at her place. Well I'm going to look at some wall decals, do my yoga then head to the pool for handstands. Have a great week. School is out for summer!!!

  1. Flip baby Flip! Wow, you are doing everything in your power to flip this Notte baby! Glad to hear that you and the baby are healthy. Can't wait to meet him/her. Even pregnant, you're still more flexible than me! Go Yoga!
