Swims, Quakes, and Easter Visit

We're back and busy. After the worst sickness ever, Cody and fam is back to our usual busy, happy selves. Today is Cody's 10 month birthday and John "Pops" Notte's birthday too. We celebrated by going on a bird walk then to our favorite Cuban restaurant last night, then this morning yummy brunch at Town and a trip to the ocean in Half Moon Bay. We experienced our first earthquake Wednesday right before Cody's swim lesson. I was outside yelling at our undefeated soccer team to start running so I didn't feel it, but Greg felt a shake and a loud thump on the roof of his building. It was only a 3.8 luckily. But as you can see Cody LOVES swimming and his swim teacher, Krystal. Tomorrow is Easter. We're going up to the city, going to mass at Grace Cathedral and then maybe the zoo.

Hoppin Along

Yay, its good to be back! After quite the stomach bug into super duper diaper rash we're finally all back to feeling good and playing outside. This weekend we went to an Easter celebration thrown by my mother's club. Kristy and Nolan came with us. They just moved here from Pittsburgh with their toddler Jackson. Greg worked with Nolan in the Colorado labs so its great having them around to hang out again. Today we hiked the Land's End Trail in San Francisco then went out for lunch at an awesome pizza place. Now Greg is back at the Garden Center returning and getting more stuff for the ever expanding garden. This week is a big one. We have two swim lessons, two soccer games (for my middle school boys,) open house at school and....Barb and John are coming to celebrate Easter, help us watch Cody and celebrate John's birthday! We're so excited to see them. Then at the beginning of May my mom is coming to help us out and Paige is spending the weekend. Yay, Spring has sprung. I can't believe only 9 weeks left of school...Then Puerto Rico!

Bugs n Bears in Oregon

So its Wednesday of Spring Break and we're all back at home. This is because Cody started insane pukefest Friday morning before daycare (all over the car.) People told me it was a 24 hour bug, but its Wednesday and Cody is just now getting back to his normal, happy self and Greg and I are still recovering for getting sick too. So Laura bought us this cute little bear and all we gave her is buggy germs for her entire family :(. The trip ended with me and Cody coming home on Greg's flight Monday instead of our scheduled Thursday and having Cody puked all over me in the airport parking lot upon arriving back in SFO. Despite having to cut our trip to Oregon short, we still loved getting to hang out with Laura's family. Her two boys, Marcus and Nicholas (pictured) are super cute and I can see Cody becoming their friend (when he's not the germ spreader.) We still managed to have some fun and did some swimming, biking, hiking, picnic, and Deschutes Brewery Tour (which I needed to lay down in the car for.) Cody today, for the first time since Thursday, went down for his regular naps and is starting to eat again. He's also starting to crawl. He uses his head instead of his hands, but can definitely get from one side of the living room to the other, especially if there's a moving cell phone in front of him that he desperately wants.
