I'm back from the Wicked Sickness! Yay!

Hello, its been a while since my last posting. Unfortunately, I got wicked sick. Not pregnancy related, but flu like for awhile then the week of wicked sickness. The week of Wicked Sickness started last Saturday. I was enjoying walking around Half Moon Bay with Greg and his dad. His dad came out and we looked at tons of houses, it was great to get his advice and tips on house-buying. We're still looking, but now have a lot more knowledge than before. John also made up wicked yummy food. Anyways, back to the Wicked Sickness, we were walking along the ocean in Half Moon Bay and my throat starting closing. I stopped talking and Greg knew something was up. So we came home and called my OB. He phoned in some anti-biotics. Thought all would be good... oh no, an hour after taking the anti-biotics, I started uncontrollably shivering, then spiked a 104.9 fever. That broke quickly and I went to bed. To play it safe we went to the ER on Sunday, they did NOTHING. Monday and Tuesday I took off from work and was Wicked Sick on the couch. I couldn't swallow but was forcing myself to try to eat and drink for baby. I was going into my OB and getting HUGE shots of Anti-biotics in the tush daily. I thought I was getting better and went to school Wednesday and Thursday. Bad idea. Greg picked me up at boys soccer try-outs and I was a mess, back to the doc, more shots, keep repeating until a total of 6 HUGE shots went in me. Jon, Greg's bro came to visit and witness the Wicked Sickness Wednesday. I told him through hushed whispers my symptoms, he said my pain in my ear through my jaw reminded him of right before his root canal. Hmmmm... So Friday I called in again, at this point they had me on 10 medications. Strep came back negative and they couldn't figure it out. So Friday, after getting a HUGE shot, I walked up the street to my dentist. (I love being able to walk to everything in sunny 70 degree weather, I just wish my tush didn't kill and wish I wasn't Wicked Sick. So I asked my dentist to take a looksie and she found an infected HOLE! In my mouth, near my tonsils, oozing infection down my throat. It was SO NASTY. She made me look, she always does. I tell her I could care less what it looks like just rid me of the Wicked Sickness. She cleans it out, I feel the best in days. She said it was caused by trauma. Did I impale myself and not know it? What is my problem. Saturday I am feeling good but all docs and dentists, including Mandy, say I need to go to an Oral surgeon to confirm that the hole is healed and okay. So today, Monday, Greg drives me up to Daly City, they take an X-ray (covering me up for baby's protection, poor baby!) and he finds NOTHING. No trace or yucky hole, nothing in my mouth, X-rays, it's like it never happened. I think he thinks I'm crazy and I'm all smiles (no more shots or meds) and leave and go to Pea in the Pod and do major shopping spree to re-introduce myself in to the world. Ahhh, it's good to be back. I got a cute pink dress for Paige's upcoming shower in Denver. In two weeks, Greg and I go on our much needed babymoon to southern Cal town of Pismo. I plan on donning Mandy's preggy bikini and floating in the 85 degree pool overlooking the ocean, while eating ice cream and smiling because it can't ever get worse than the Wicked Sickness. I've signed up for some prenatal classes, I'm going to take it easy, and I'm going to enjoy spring. Here's a shot of me today, Monday, in a cute top my mom bought me for my birthday. Thanks to everyone who kept constant tabs on my well being especially, Greg, Barb, my mom, and Paige.
