Ski Utah Dada

We're still in awe of the amazing powder we encountered last week while skiing in Utah with my entire family. The 2011 Gaynors have grown from the original 5 of us to 11 and we all stayed together in a rented house in Cottonwood Heights last weekend. The snow just kept getting better and by the last day we were skiing in two feet of powder! It was epic. Back at the house Nana watched over the kids. Cody and Sabbie totally bonded and Asa was in ski school for two days. It was a great family trip.
Speaking of trips, I haven't written since we went to Denver at the end of January for Brooke and Mike's baby shower. Cody's a frequent flyer, it was great to stay with Paige and Kyle and see everybody at Ellen and Jarrod's house to celebrate the baby we re so excited to meet.
Between Denver and Utah was my birthday. Greg and I used our baby sitting co op to go out to our favorite restaurant in Monterra called Cafe Gilbrater with our friends Mark and Courtney at the beginning of the month. Then on my birthday weekend Greg flew home to be friends and family for our friend's Meghan's funeral. It was so good that Greg was able to be there. Cody and I stayed here and had a little birthday dinner party with some California friends. Cody was a good host, a total ham.
So now its a chill weekend. Literally. It could snow today in San Fran for the first time since 1976. We're relaxing because this coming week our friend Nolan in coming on Monday to interview with Gilead then Wednesday our friends Mike and Cindy are coming out to hang and ski up in Tahoe.
Mr. Cody Bear is 8 months already and talking as you see and hear in the video and rolling every which way. He's eating lots of different things. I'm going to make him some more food this weekend. He likes the homemade stuff. I'm thinking of stopping pumping at work in the morning but continuing to nurse him for awhile after work and at night. Last night we started using this little finger thing to clean and massage his gums. He really liked it. Then, Greg and I continued to try to watch our annual Lord of the Rings movie trilogy but fell asleep within the hour.

  1. Ok, the videos do not lie. He is really this adorable all the time! If you haven't seen Cody lately, see him soon. Otherwise, based on how he looks like he's going to be pretty mobile soon, you may not be able to catch him!

He's only doing barrel rolls right now, but crawling and swimming are definitely right around the corner!

Greg & Jes: Best parents EVER.
